About
A panel discussion at Sinema Transtopia, a Berlin cinema, with members of Roya Film House, the first women-run film company in Afghanistan, founded in 2003 by director Roya Sadat and now working in exile since the Taliban's 2021 return. Speakers Alka Sadat, Roya Sadat, Betty Schiel and Elisa Jochum discuss the company's projects and how cinema can preserve history and resist oppression, as part of the Film Restored festival with the Dortmund+Köln women's film festival IFFF and the Deutsche Kinemathek.
