About
A screening of two Afghan films, The Stranger (a village woman whose singing becomes the focus of a conflict over power, honor and tradition) and Elephantbird by Amir Masoud Soheili (an old man's risky journey to Kabul to fulfil a last wish), shown in the original version with English subtitles. They come from the programme 'Dust, Clay, Earth, Desire: Films from Afghanistan', curated by the AVAH Collective for Cinelogue in 2025, and are shown at Sinema Transtopia, an independent cinema and cultural space in Berlin.
