A double screening of two Ukrainian short films, Taras Spivak's documentary "Under the Sign of the Anchor" (archives and institutional traces) and Polina Piddubna's animated "My Grandmother Is a Skydiver" (family stories and inherited memory, premiered at Cannes), asking who gets to tell a place's history and shifting focus to women's experiences. A panel discussion with the filmmakers, researchers Susanne Frank and Tereza Hendl, and moderator Daria Buteiko follows on colonial perspectives in Ukrainian history, as part of the Ukrainian Film Festival Berlin at Sinema Transtopia, an independent cinema in Berlin.
