About
Animated South Korean feature from 2025 (73 min, original with English subtitles) directed by Bosol Kim, shown as part of the Korea Independent film series at Kino Babylon, a landmark cinema in Berlin-Mitte. It tells of a secret, doomed love between a Swedish diplomat posted in Pyongyang and a local traffic policewoman, while an interpreter assigned to watch the diplomat faces a conflict of loyalties; it is drawn in analog 2D style against a grey, wintry Pyongyang.
