A free, German-language guided tour through the permanent exhibition in the Tränenpalast, the former departure hall at the Friedrichstraße border crossing in Berlin where East Germans and travellers were processed during the division of Germany. It uses personal stories and original objects to show how the division shaped people's lives; registration is at the information desk just before the tour.
