A guided tour accompanying the permanent exhibition in the Tränenpalast, the former departure hall at the Friedrichstraße border crossing where East Germans said farewell to Western visitors during the division of Germany. Using personal stories and original objects, it covers escapes and exits from the GDR and the experience of border processing; registration is at the information desk in the exhibition before the tour starts.
