About
A permanent, free exhibition in the Museum Treptow (in Berlin's former Johannisthal town hall) about the First German Colonial Exhibition, held in Treptower Park in 1896, where 106 people from Africa and Oceania were put on display in a discriminatory 'human zoo'. It focuses on their biographies and resistance, such as Kwelle Ndumbe from Cameroon, who looked back at the audience through opera glasses, and was developed with Black and decolonial organizations.
