About
Screening of Věra Chytilová's 1966 Czechoslovak New Wave film "Tausendschönchen" (Daisies, 74 min, original with English subtitles), in which two young women named Marie wreak anarchic, comic havoc on Prague's bourgeois society; the film was banned for its depiction of hedonism and food waste. It is part of the free "Cinema Surreal 2026" series accompanying the Surreale Welten exhibition at the Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg, a Berlin museum of Surrealism and its precursors.
