About

Guest concert in the Philharmonie's Großer Saal by the Staatskapelle Berlin, the historic orchestra of the Berlin State Opera, under Christian Thielemann with soprano Diana Damrau. The program pairs Richard Strauss's late-Romantic Four Last Songs with his large-scale Alpine Symphony, a musical portrait of a day's mountain climb; a concert introduction starts at 19:15.
