Robert Rauschenberg – Crosstown

Exhibition at Galerie Bastian in Berlin-Dahlem centered on "Crosstown" (1997), a large urban panorama by the American artist Robert Rauschenberg (1925–2008), made by transferring photographic images with vegetable dyes onto polylaminate and combining them with painted elements. Rauschenberg was the first American to win the Venice Biennale prize (1964) and is known for using everyday objects and materials in his art; the show runs 11 September to 21 November 2026, with an opening during Gallery Night Berlin on 10 September, 18–22 Uhr.
