Ramona Schacht: Vom Bauhaus auf die Krim. Eine Bildbefragung zu Alfred Ehrhardts Tabakserien

About

An exhibition at the Alfred Ehrhardt Stiftung, a small Berlin foundation for photography, where Leipzig artist Ramona Schacht (born 1989) reworks industrial photographs and a film that Alfred Ehrhardt (1901–1984) made in the 1950s for the tobacco company Reemtsma. Using archive material and tobacco plants she grew herself, she asks what these images show and hide about work, especially women's work, in tobacco production; it runs until 20 December 2026.
