Screening of 'Made in Hong Kong' (1997, dir. Fruit Chan), shown in the original Cantonese with English subtitles, rated 18+, as part of the Dangerous Encounters festival on Hong Kong cinema. A gritty mix of gangster film and social realism, it follows disillusioned petty criminal Moon in a Hong Kong housing estate just after the 1997 handover, until meeting Ping opens up a new outlook. Shown in the Filmrauschpalast cinema at the Kulturfabrik Moabit, a cultural center in Berlin's Moabit district.
