A curator-led tour of the special exhibition "Elfenbein in Tempelhof", which examines how merchant Theodor Francke ran an ivory bleaching works on the site of today's Franckepark in the 19th century, processing ivory from colonial trade networks (e.g. for piano keys), and how his firm was also involved in trading looted art such as the Benin Bronzes. No registration needed, just drop in.
