Screening of Jan Němec's 1964 Czechoslovak film "Démanty noci" (Diamonds of the Night), a stark drama about two young men who escape from a Nazi transport train and flee through the woods, based on Arnošt Lustig's story. It opens the Zeughauskino series "In weiter Ferne, so nah!" on Czech and Slovak cinema and comes with a short preceding program and a book presentation.
