Home Movie Day

About

Home Movie Day is a worldwide annual event, held for over 20 years, celebrating family and amateur films. At the Bundesarchiv (Germany's federal archive) in Berlin-Lichterfelde, visitors can bring 16mm, Super 8 and 8mm reels, video tapes or digital files to be inspected, repaired if needed and screened. The day also includes a archive tour at 16:45 and a 18:00 screening of amateur films by Hans Schaller, cameraman and close friend of actor Heinz Rühmann.
