A free panel discussion and talk (in German, about 90 minutes, registration required, with livestream) at the Topographie des Terrors, a Berlin documentation center on Nazi crimes. Historians present a Max Planck Society research project on how brain institutes in Berlin-Buch and Munich collected brain specimens from thousands of Nazi victims, many of them murdered in the 'euthanasia' program, and discuss science, ideology and politics under National Socialism, why the reckoning took so long, and how to commemorate the victims.
