About

"Erinnerung eines Mädchens" (A Girl's Memory) is a stage adaptation of Annie Ernaux's autobiographical book "Erinnerung eines Mädchens" (2016, "Mémoire de fille"), in which the Nobel Prize-winning French author revisits the summer of 1958, when as an 18-year-old she had her first sexual experience at a holiday camp and suffered shame and social exclusion afterward. It is staged at the Schaubühne, a leading Berlin theatre in Charlottenburg known for contemporary European works, and this performance starts at 8:30 pm.
