About
Claude Chabrol's drama "Une affaire de femmes" (France 1988, 108 min, original with English subtitles) stars Isabelle Huppert as Marie, a poor mother in German-occupied France who begins performing illegal abortions to make a living until her husband denounces her. It is based on the true story of Marie-Louise Giraud, executed in 1943, and screens at the Babylon, a landmark single-screen cinema in Berlin-Mitte.
