A one-hour German-language guided tour of Bernauer Straße, one of the most symbolic places of Germany's division, showing how the 1961 Wall construction destroyed urban space, separated families and friends, and prompted escape attempts. It starts at the visitor center of the Berlin Wall Memorial, which preserves a stretch of the original border strip.
