About
A one-woman stage adaptation of Miranda July's debut novel "The First Bad Man", performed by Maren Eggert in the Kammer, the small studio stage of Berlin's Deutsches Theater, and directed by Sarah Kurze. It follows Cheryl, a tidy, self-controlled woman in her forties who works for a company selling self-defence videos for women, and whose ordered life is upended when the much younger, unfiltered Clee moves in; running time is about 1 hour 45 minutes with no interval, and the production premiered in February 2026 to strong reviews.
