A free, roughly 2.5-hour bilingual (German/Spanish) walking tour through Berlin's Kreuzberg district about the sister-city partnership between Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and San Rafael del Sur in Nicaragua, which began in the 1980s as West Berlin's first partnership with a city in the Global South. Guides and participants share stories from activists and volunteers; the walk starts at the corner of Adalbertstraße and Waldemarstraße and ends at Plaza San Rafael del Sur on Cuvrystraße. Registration by email is required by 11:00 the day before.
