Opening film of the Korea Independent Film Festival in Berlin, the first documentary to open it in its ten-year history. In 'Becoming Kim' (2026, 90 min), director Susanne Kim humorously and candidly portrays her marriage to Korean husband Jeong Rae, whose decision to return to Korea and open a chicken restaurant strains their life between two cultures; the director attends for a Q&A afterwards, at Kino Babylon, a historic cinema in Berlin-Mitte.
